Home Depot chat told me that it's not a retailer they can price match. Lowe's approved the price match online through chat just now.

Yep. One of the best 'jobsite' saws, anyway. I've had one for.. gosh, ~8 years now ($449+tax back then, for reference). The 32" rip capacity is basically unmatched in jobsite saws, the fence adjustment is really nice/secure, and it can also run a dado stack.

I prefer a track saw these days since table saws will eat your lunch in the blink of an eye - never let your guard down around them - but they still have a place for making repeatable cuts.

I'm building a chicken coop this spring. Would this or a miter saw be better to buy?

Regarding price matching… Home Depot agent said "what!?" And put me on hold for 10 minutes.
I hung up and tried the chat bot at Lowe's with success! However, the chat window crashed at checkout using the app on my phone so I had to switch to a pc and go through the process again. Oh well, the price of a slick deal I guess.

Miter saw is a perfect tool for that project, though you could get it done with just a circular saw and a square if you're on a budget.

I'd recommend both. Miter saw for making cross cuts to make boards smaller, table saw to make rip cuts to make boards thinner, and to cut sheets to size. You can get away with a cheap small miter saw if you're only doing 2x4s n such.

I mean... you can build a chicken coop with little more than a plain old circular saw and a straight edge to guide any rip cuts in sheet goods.. don't really NEED a table or miter saw.
A miter saw won't do rip cuts, of course, but miter cuts can be made on a table saw using a sled or miter gauge (but supporting the end can be tricky with long pieces).
