I had GameFly at the time it came out so it was "free" (so to speak) for me to rent it but after I played the demo on PS5 it was clear to me that this was a subpar game that wasn't worth my time, not even if it were "free" to me.
Yes, Square Enix is hurting bad. They're on the verge of bankruptcy. With top selling games from last year like FF7 Rebirth, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D and Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail. Hopefully they'll recover
