I vastly prefer high-tops for hiking. I find myself constantly battling the stray rocks in my shoes with low tops.

Should note Columbia recently switched out some of their shoes from being made in Vietnam to being made in China.

Columbia's shoes are awesome though. I was just really hoping these were waterproof. Really need some new lawn-mowing shoes

Even their waterproof ones are not fully waterproof unless they are goretex. The quality is not the same as it used to be years ago either. In any case these are decent normal dry condition shoes.

How are these? Anyone heavier got these? Anyone tried these for very amateur (4mph) trail running?
