With regards to build quality, how does this computer compare with the Acer Helios 18 with 4090? How about the Acer Triton 17 X with 4090?

you can buy a new one with 4080 from BH photo for 2,000 dollars. so this does not seem like that great of a deal by comparison.

Has anyone had trouble with waking up their Lenovo from sleep mode? I keep having to hold the power button down and restarting it to get it out of sleep mode.

If you're spending this much on a laptop you're probably a serious enthusiast, and will understand a $300/~15% price bump for 4GB more of VRAM and the higher performance that comes with it. Honestly the only real downside to this deal is that that 50xx laptops are around the corner and promise better performance for similar power draw. If you specifically want to buy Lenovo they also are shipping it with an OLED panel which is a first for the series.

Right. Around the corner 5080 should achieve almost 4090 performance and has just as much VRAM, and better energy efficiency as you said. They'll start around $2699 but once they're on sale should approach this kind of price.
