Huge huge is an understatement. This thing doubles as a tv stand.
This is a SPANKIN' speaker and price. But it's huge huge. If you're thinking about getting it check the dimensions and measure first.
Just installed this to replace a Jamo S83 center channel. Vocals are much more audible and easier to hear under low listening levels at night.

Everyone is complaining about not being able to hear Kendrick at the superbowl but I managed just fine

I have a piano black 504C. Is it worth the upgrade to get the second gen version? I know there are differences, but I wonder how much I'd notice the difference in my 9.4.4 home theater system. My front are RP-8000II's, so that might help make it worth upgrading?

Pretty much 99/100 would not notice a difference. I wouldn't bother unless you have money to burn and an insane ear, and then I would assume you would not have got these in the first place.

That was my thought too. A guy in my hometown is selling two RP-6000F's that are like-new for $350 for the pair on Craigslist. I will probably replace my old but excellent+ condition KF-28 Audyssey Wides with those, even though the Audyssey Wides get very little use on most tracks. That's such a good deal though. It's hard to pass up. That's $175 each with no tax. I already have two excellent+ F-30's, and I'm about to have two excellent+ KF-28's to sell. Nobody wants big speakers anymore. I think they'd be a steal for $100 each. All four are dang near perfect.

I did the exact same upgrade and definitely noticed a difference between the two

Agree about this being huge. Make sure you have the space for it.

To be specific, the specs say it's approx. 32" wide (less than 3 ft) x 15" deep x 7" high. Are they incorrect?

Doesn't seem "huge huge" or even huge to me, but I guess size is all relative to your frame of reference Smilie

The frame of reference is the average center speaker. Compared to that, this is indeed "huge huge".
