Unfortunately no. There is No CLI or SSH support. No SNMP. Very basic features (VLAN, QoS, etc.). You must use their software, or web GUI. To get SSH/CLI..etc, need the GS3xxT line which of course are significantly more expensive than this.
It's nice that this switch has 2 LEDs per port indicating the speed of the link (10M/100M/1G); cheaper ones don't have that and you have to check from the computer/switch.

Do update the firmware (1.0.1.3 here https://www.netgear.com/support/p.../#download) and change the default password (which is "password" 😂) even if you don't use the smart managed features.
The about this deal is wrong. It was $27.99 last week, so this is $2.99 better than last week.

I bought it last week and set it up this weekend to light up the Ethernet jacks in my apartment. It just works right out of the box. I have 6 jacks, so this was perfect. It also improved throughput. Rooms where the Wi-Fi was only getting 300 MB are now getting the advertised 1 gb speed. I highly recommend Ethernet over Wi-Fi whenever possible.

Basically a fundamental item of network engineering, basically we can split your network into different segments for diffident use, this switch lets you do that, this is a technical thing and not needed for 99.999 percent of consumers (it's always there but you don't need to aware of it)

Anyone know if it is possible to configure this using command line interface (CLI) or all graphical user interface (GUI)?

Either way awesome deal.

Can't you setup VLANs and segment the network from the router? Or is this for cases when the router has limited functionality?

Hopefully I can use this to balance the bandwidth between my computer and my son's...which my Verizon cable modem tends to suck at
