But you also get 2 more AC ports.
Definitely worth another $4 to me, though.

Even 6-feet is paltry, but less than that rates a zero IMO. I rarely even consider anything with less than 6 feet, and think 8-10 feet should be a standard.
Don't get excited and jump on this because there are 5-foot strips on sale constantly.....Including some better for less....
I generally go for GE when possible since most other brands are crappy (Philips isn't horrible but Belkin generally is) and Tripp-Lite/APC are overpriced and their designs are antiquated. Design-wise, they can all learn something from Anker here (esp the angled aspect). And Anker, let's get a little more space in between outlets? Nothing worse than not being able to use a plug, even a standard 2-prong plug, when you are using a wall-wart in an adjacent outlet. I guess their solution was the 8-outlet.
Fair question, but I have so many strips and I find that even 6' is tight too often. Whether it's for TVs and soundbars, powering studio lights, or even in the bedroom plugging in laptop chargers, it's just too tight and inflexible. The basement is a challenge too.
I will acknowledge that newer homes *may or could* have more outlets available, but for me dealing with an old house I don't have the luxury of having an outlet every 5 feet. You'll find a lot of that in the northeast (and not just around Boston), unless it's new(er) construction or has been redone. Regardless, I'd rather deal with an extra foot (or more) of cord than too little.
I just bought another strip with a 15' cord as some of the 10' strips are stretched a little "tight" and I want the flexibility.

If I'm using the strip for stuff that is either only plugged in intermittently or it wouldn't be awful to replace (nightstand, next to couch, etc.), I'm getting Anker. Little features like flat lead plugs/cords and good plug spacing on the units themselves are just nice.
FWIW, I've been using this as my bedside charger since Nov and like it. I prefer slower charging for most scenarios to put less stress on the batteries, and anything that's plugged into it will be there overnight anyway.
