This is a dumb, overpriced "convenience" food that you could easily make yourself. Just buy a jar of Calabrian chili and a jar of good honey, each of which have a million other uses besides just hot honey, and when you do want hot honey, mix the two together. You can even get it at exactly the heat level you want. You don't need Mike to do that for you.

This tastes like regular ol' honey to me. It's good though, but I didn't notice any heat whatsoever.

It did introduce me to the pepperoni pizza + honey combo though and that is phenomenal.

Stupid question -- For someone who isn't normally a fan of honey, but loves spicy sauces (and honey-stuff like Honey Mustard), is this worth checking out, or is it strong on the honey with little heat? Heard it was great on pizza, chicken and a variety of other things..

They make a hotter version called Extra Hot. I didn't like it because I'm the opposite of you. The heat overpowers the honey flavor, kinda didn't even taste like honey anymore. So i stick with the normal level one.

Way too pricey per ounce for honey, any honey. And its 50% off lol. Reputable Nates hot honey on Amazon much cheaper per ounce.

Agree with this commenter. If you like spice, go with the extra hot. I found the normal one to barely have any spice.

Honestly - It's not worth the purchase. It only tastes good on peperoni pizza. Anything else you apply it on, it's difficult to taste it or if it makes it that much better IMO.
