I doubt there is any other variation. The terms of service on the websites probably have a clause that covers situations like this, probably not worth a lawsuit.

It's really not. Phone's with 8GB ram still struggle from light activity from time to time. My old Moto G Power 2020 with 4GB was essentially unusable after a few months.
