also $599 at best buy. excellent open box at $508.99
FWIW I really like the Pixel 9. Excellent screen, responsive and great cameras. The "slow" processor doesn't affect me at all as a non-gamer.
Just an FYI the Mint deal is still going on which might be of interest to some. Pixel 9 for $399 with a year of unlimited service for $180. You have to buy the service with it, so all in for $579+tax and a $25 mint 'recovery' fee. The phone is initially locked to Mint, but unlocked after 60 days.

Any guesses at how long this price is good for?

Same experience here. I picked up the S24 Ultra and Pixel 9 when they were released, and I prefer the P9. The camera on my S24 is significantly worse except for telephoto. I don't notice the speed difference in performance despite benchmark scores. Having face unlock AND ultrasonic fingerprint reader is fantastic also. I don't care about AI or gaming, so maybe that's why I don't notice the slower CPU.

I liked everything about the pixel 9, felt like the perfect phone, except the Tensor G4 which heats up a lot, even when doing basic things, or even streaming music in background. Even something as simple as turning on 120hz makes the phone constantly warm in hand, even when it's doing nothing. And that heat also affects the battery life too. Other than those two major issues pixel 9 is amazing.

I don't think the 9's are all they are cracked up to be given the price and other options. I actually preferred my Edge 2024 from the cheap port in deals last fall to the regular pixel 9...not that the pixel isn't technically the better phone of course.

My pixel 9 was a terrible phone. It wouldn't wirelessly charge faster than 600mah - that's 8hours to fully charge. The pics were fuzzy on the edges and it couldn't focus in low light. The base pixel 9 focus is inferior to the pro and xl. The phone software is crippled, with no manual controls and no 50mp, its locked at 12.5 vs the pro and xl can do 50 mp.
Mine had a bug where if I turned off animations, I couldn't multitask. The recent apps button would stop working. If I turned on animations the phone was noticeably slower.
After 2 months, my screen had lots of small scratches and I had the phone in a case and never dropped it.
Was so happy I bought at Costco and could return. Now have a s25, that was the same price. S25 is better in all aspects. And even at power save , cpu at 70% its faster than the pixel 9.
So while thus is historically a good price, the base pixel 9 phone is not worth this price. Its a budget phone, 599 should be normal and 499 a deal.
clean your lens. DXO rates the Pixel 9 #1 with camera on Premium phones.

Yes? I've been using the 9 since it came out. I only rarely have issues with GPS but I also had occaisinal issues with my Pixel 6a and my Xiaomi before that. So I think it might just be a thing? I never had long term issues, it was only just sometimes I'd get some trouble finding a signal until I turn location off an back on again. That or airplane mode on wait 30 seconds, turn it off. Never had issues while driving with it once it started. It was only finding the GPS and rarely like I said.

Had a Pixel 7 Pro and wanted to upgrade. Considered the Pixel 9, but ultimately went with S25+ 256gb for $399 via Google Fi. 4 months Flex plan $20 monthly service offset by $60 referral and $25 LA fires credits.

If trading in, not looking like as much of a deal... At least for the Pixel 7 or 7 Pro upgrade path. Best Buy was offering $200, now only $95, so the $100 comes right back Frown
