Deals on Windows tablet - refurbished is fine?

I know MS makes tablets.
Any competitors - I do not want keyboard permanently attached ones (believe Lenovo Yoga)?

If I were to get a Surface pro which one should I get - its just to read emails and mostly stays at home?

If you go for a used\refurbished Windows tablet, consider the HP Elite X2 G8. It's older, but it sounds like it could work for you. It's available with an optional high res screen and a rare feature: the stand is "bar"-style, rather than a panel like the Surface (see pic). This makes it much nicer to hold.

Also be careful to check whether the keyboard is included. Many retailers sell it separately.
