Please let us turn off Slickdeals Scout

I have tried adding it to my ignore list, but my front page still gets littered with useless links to items that are unrelated to what I want and incredibly overpriced. I'm here for the recommendations of fellow humans, please let me see those instead.

I have brought this up before as well. The bot is nearly useless. If I search for an item on Slickdeals, it the floods my For You section with similar items for about a week before it learns the new things to push.

My most common impulse buys and slickest deals used to come from my for you section as it was more relevant to the stuff I casually browse on Slickdeals. So maybe kudos for helping me save money and give the site less clicks?

Now with Slickdeals Scout, I know to ignore the posts with zero or negative engagement as it is just a bot finding a "deal". ($5 off a $167 item! Amazing!) Versus an active discussion with relevant comments and useful info in the post.

Slickdeals announced this bot back in October and in that post they mention the ability to block in. Nearly 6 months later, still can't block or hide. This indicates to me they wish to reduce real engagement on this site and instead focus on automation that they will likely incorporate into promoted deals.

EVERY post scrolling across the site are from this bot for Christmas junk. Comments won't post and the thumbs down will not stick. How long is this garbage going to be an experiment before it's removed from the site?
