Solid price. Was waiting for something in this range, without any extra tools, for a while now. Thanks OP!

This is a great deal. I love this saw.
Expect to spend another $250-$300 on one high-performance battery. If you want two to keep in rotation, it will obviously be more. I have a 8 and 12 high output. Anything less won't run the saw very well.

I wish they made this with a plug in adapter. My backyards about 130x60 so a 100' foot cord works great and than if I need to go into the woods I can do battery as a backup. I have the craftsman plug in and it's garbage

Buy a 20" bar and chain, I think they're interchangeable. I think I even saw someone run a 16" bar on one of the shorty m18 models, it didn't run perfect, but it did it. I'd think a 20" would run on this just fine.

I bought and returned one of these. The electric parts of it are good. But the other saw parts of it are crap compared to the usual gas suspects. I didnt mind the narrow kerf bar, but it is a cheap plastic, it can't be used in the rain or snow, the chain tensioner was problematic on mine (I cant remember specficially why), the dogs are too short to engage with the tree... It was a shame. For less money I would have kept it. One battery was ALMOST enough to cut a whole medium sized pine up. Almost. When I'm using a saw it is usually for no less than an hour at a time, so it was just too expensive to replace my gas saw. It would be great for an expensive truck saw or small yard saw... As long as you didnt anticipate needing it in the rain - like during a weather related emergency.
Tldr - A saw made by very good power tool people, not made by saw people, and it shows.

I have 5 saws. 3 Stihl gas saws, Dewalt battery saw, and this Milwaukee M18. The M18 ends up being my go to saw unless it's a big job. Love it. Amazing power for a battery operated saw.

This or the BMSM hack 14in top handle comes out to 209? I don't have large trees in my yard just a few small ones. But a larger would be nice to when we get hurricanes.

How would a horror movie be with an electric chainsaw?

Electric is a joy to use for most light to normal duty loads, but it's not scary at all

Check out the Oregon plug in with self sharpening. Its a great saw that will keep going all day as long as you have a cord long enough. The self sharpening is fantastic, especially for bucking when you inevitably hit dirt.
