meh. No load test? Looks like it only measures voltage. with one set of lights for the alternator and one set for the battery.

My Mercedes sprinter RV has voltage monitoring but that's rare, and I agree why can't voltage alt/battery be displayed somewhere on 25k+ cars?

these things are pretty useless, its just a (single?)multimeter with no other function other than checking if voltage is in whatever range the device deems good or bad. if you need accuracy get an actual load tester otherwise just get one of the multimeters from HF that are often free/under 3 dollars

Doesn't measuring the voltage when the car is not running drain the battery? Then there's no alternator to test. Then once you start your car aren't you measuring the battery and alternator together? Disclaimer I'm not a mechanic.

Your overthinking it, lol
Plus alot of cars nowdays do run accessories for a bit after the engine is turned off, maybe put it on that circuit.
