Yes, these are amazing!
Awesome price!

I owned two Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe carpet cleaners before buying this model from Amazon just last month. The first time I bought the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe was in 2016 when we brought home a puppy. I did a lot of research and I thought it was the best option at the time. It lasted 5-6 years before it stopped turning on altogether. It did its job but was extremely time consuming and the upholstery attachments were a joke because they didn't have the suction power to actually suck the dirty water back out of the furniture. I ended up investing in a highly reviewed Bissell upholstery cleaner that I use all the time and works fantastic. Still, when the upright Hoover finally died, I began researching available products again and found that it was still one of the top reviewed mid-range models out there so I invested in a second. That one broke within less than a year. I am mechanically inclined and took everything apart to see if I could repair it and found a broken plastic gear. I attempted to make it with again but the gear was such low quality and brittle plastic that it immediately broke with the first use.

Having invested that money in two Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe models in 7 or 8 years just to have them die because of the cheapest of cheap parts that couldn't be replaced was maddening.

I began researching again and I finally broke down and ordered this Bissell Big Green and couldn't be happier. Knowing that they sell all of the parts to easily repair these should they break is a major peace of mind for me after the disaster of Hoover garbage I spent money on.

Not only does this have much larger tanks so you aren't constantly stopping to empty/refill but it has the suction power to actually do the job of getting the dirty water back out in a much faster time.

The upholstery attachment is every bit as good, if not better, than my small Bissell upholstery cleaner.

On top of all of this, I bought Hoover carpet cleaning solution for years thinking that I was getting the right stuff for the job. Every time I cleaned carpets, it would smell like a pack of cigarettes in the room even though nobody has ever smoked around these rugs and carpets. The Bissell carpet cleaning solution immediately gave off a fresh scent of clean laundry.

Is this a big investment? Yes. Would I buy the cheaper models again if given the choice? Absolutely not. The difference is that dramatic. Now, don't get me wrong, the Hoovers did their job with carpets and rugs (while they worked) but the added expense of having to buy a working upholstery cleaner on top of two carpet cleaners that are not repairable didn't make it worthwhile at all. The time consuming nature of the Hoover model I had was so aggravating that it was a massive time commitment to truly clean a room or rug. It will never be a fast process to get things deep cleaned but at least this Bissell makes it more effective and at a faster speed.

The pros absolutely outweigh the cons (for me, personally) and I only wish I had invested in this sooner. At the risk of sounding like a plant here to, shill I'll stop here. Feel free to ask any questions if you have them. I have house guests coming tomorrow and have actually been running this thing all over the house this last week so I'm just fired up about it lol.

I realize it's a subjective question, but do people find it useful to have one of these on hand when they only own one home? Versus renting one for the day at $40?

I have two young children, three dogs, and a cat. Asking myself if this would be used often enough to justify the cost.

I bought one over 10 years ago and clean our carpets 2 to 3 times a year. We now have carpet in only 2 bedrooms and will keep it to clean them. It's amazing how great this works and it pulls TONS of dog hair out of the carpets.

I would just like to say we didn't believe people when we bought ours that it would be so tanky and stuff. It really is like what you can rent from a store and it cleans the crap out of carpet. We didn't think our carpets were that bad till we did this thing and we ended up having to do it twice because of how bad it was. It is big and bulky yes but man it will clean and you'll be impressed with the results. You could hire pros that have those big trucks with large engines and stuff and that will do better but if you wanna do it at home and do it more than once then buying it is worth it. Heck if you buy it on sale like this you could probably flip it for what you paid for it after you get done if you don't want to have it in your house all the time.

Got one of these on black Friday for slightly cheaper but this is still a good deal for a machine that's going to last a decade or more. It's actually easier for me to store because it folds in half, making it easier to fit into my closet under a shelf, versus a standard upright.

I'd buy the regular. They have been making this machine for a LONG time so parts will be readily available-- not sure if that's a guarantee for the pet model.

As someone with three dogs, and one cat, but no kids. I've used it dozens of times over the past 5 years I've owned it making it well worth the price I paid. It cleans so much better then the smaller carpet cleaners. It is heavy and much more difficult to use then the smaller ones but cleans much better. This is one of the best purchases I've made over the years as a pet owner.

I have the pet pro and it comes with an extra attachment and some pet cleaner stuff. It also has a different handle which some like and some don't. I personally like my pet pro.

Do you want to use a rental where multiple people used at unknown conditions? You could be smearing poop all over your carpets. I doubt the stores clean rentals.
