I know I probably say it every mount listing buttttt….. save yourself some headache and get one that spans 24". Allows much easier install if studs are not centered to the placement of the tv. Just my 2 cents the brand below has many options and is premium for the price.

I agree w this. 16" max span can be stressful if measurements are slightly off, your fault or not. mount appears otherwise sturdy/solid

Agreed. I ordered this over a year ago and had this mount sitting for a bit intending to wall mount my old TV which was mounted on a glass shelf stand with mount built on it but never got around to it. Just got a new Hisense 85" U8N delivered last week and when I installed the mount I realized my building had metal studs spaced 24" apart. Ended up centering the mount to the one stud I could hit and drove 5 toggle bolts through it. 2 through the existing holes on the mount and 3 custom holes where I could drill without destroying the support of the frame. Put 4 more toggles in the corners through the corner holes of the mount so it can't shift when adjusting the full motion unless somebody tried to rip it out the wall with a lot of force. I was able to hang from the mount and am certain it will hold my TV but how I wished I ordered the correct mount to save all the trouble of having to customize to add support. The full motion did allow me to swing and center the TV.

Just what I needed for a concrete wall. Thanks OP! FWIW, the 38% discount is deducted BEFORE the $5 coupon is applied - that's how the purchase price is $24.75.

what do you recommend for a smaller tv, like under 30 inches? a mount spanning 24 inches would mean it's visible behind the tv…

I agree that you should check your stud spacing first.

I have a 77inch OLED mounted on this. It's a very solid mount, easy to install, and no wobbling when adjusting the TV. Doesn't feel flimsy. Recommended.

There are plenty of single-stud mounts (the mounting holes are vertically aligned) available that will hold 30 pounds for less than $20. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SHFPD8S]

Most mounts are for ~90-110 lbs which will work for most TV's but this one is rated for 135lbs, which if you have a Sony Bravia 85 inch that weighs 120lbs like I do, its one of the few "cheap" mounts capable of the weight. I don't have this mount, but I do look at weight ratings after having to search a good bit when looking for a mount for the x95k.

There is a very good chance that the tile or backerboard will not retain the wall anchors that hold the TV mount to the wall if studs are not located.
