Boy this will sting when you find out a month later you paid 50 dollars for counterfeit batteries that are almost dead when you try to use them

Duracells are inferior to energizer, but you can get two Duracell AA or AAA 24 packs for essentially free from office depot about once every 6 weeks when they pop up in their rewards offers.

So if you buy toner or whatever somewhat regularly you can buy the batteries, get the cashback in your account and then use that toward the toner you would buy anyway, so the batteries end up (almost, there's a small difference) free.

You can check for the rewards deal for the week starting Sunday each week under the DEALS->REWARDS OFFERS menu on office depot.com. If the batteries are listed, click it and then put up to two of the AA or AAA 24 packs in your cart and checkout with your rewards account.

We have duracells coming out of our ears doing this. And the best thing is if they start leaking before we use them (happens too often with duracells) they'll give you certificates to replace them with new ones. If the batteries leak in a product, they'll pay you to replace the item. So even though I know duracells are less than energizers, I still do them because free or almost free is tempting when the performance is "close enough."

24-Pack * 4 count = 96 batteries
There is a redeemable coupon to get $15 Amazon credit if you spend $50+ on these (so you would have to get four of the one 24-pack to go above the $50 threshold). In the end, it would cost around $50 pre-tax for 96 batteries, then you would get $15 credit after the purchase.
