Can anyone explain the difference between this $199 combo and the $229 combo? They seem almost identical but the latter makes you eligible for a $119 5.0 AH battery pack for free. However, the $199 also says it comes with a 5.0 Ah battery as well?

You can "hack" the $229 combo to bring the drill/driver set to $150.69. If you think the 5.0 XC battery is worth the extra amount, buy the $199 set.

I got this deal last time around with 2 additional 5ah battery for $135 after hack and flipped other one for $50. All in for $185. Worth the hack though for $150 imop

i bought this last time around for $199. returned the extra battery for ~$73 back incl tax. then turned around and bought the 3 battery deal for $99 (on sale). Very happy with my set and plenty of batteries. I have other 12v Milkwaukee tools that will benefit from extra batteries.
