Nakamichi is junk ever since it was bought out by a chinese company. $20 would be a normal price for this and even at this price, is probably not worth it.

Not entirely clear from the description, but this is a car equalizer, not for home. Really could've used this back in 1990; not so much now.

If you want an EQ, my guess is that it's probably passable. Just a guess

I recently installed a sub in my car and was looking for a cheap amp. I took a gamble on a Nakamichi amp from Woot, and so far so good (sounds awesome).

I know this post is for an EQ, but a number of people have tested the Nakamichi amps purchased from Woot (see YouTube), and they deliver the power they are rated for. I would have to assume that the EQ is not horrible, especially for $20.

This looks like a rebrand of the old Clarion EQ that is still sold today. I'm pretty sure thats what it is. Brand really doesnt mean anything for this unit, they are all the same with different screen prints.

Unfortunately the Nakamichi name, like every other one bought by a Chinese company, is now worthless.

I bought a $5 pair of Nakamichi earbuds at Sears well over 10 years ago, so the real Nakamichi has been gone for a long time. You would have a tough time finding an equalizer not made in China, even at a much higher price.
