Depends on your needs. If you're planning on just doing simple tasks like web browsing, playing light games, & streaming content, the iPad A16 is more than capable. You can use the extra money and get accessories and such for it. Hope this helps
The M1 iPad is still a great iPad for all tasks. The only thing I'll be concern about is the storage as the iPad A16 has 128GBs. So it depends on what your needs are.
