Just after I ordered the open box RZ30, this deal is back.
I called Adorama last week and tried to buy it for this price over the phone. They checked and told me it was not possible anymore. Well, its back. Get it while you can.

I am certain this will make front page for about what seems to be the 20th time

Any real owners here who can speak about their experience and what they think about this unit?

If you think value in linear, I am not sure this unit can be beat...assuming you are getting what amounts to about an Onkyo RZ50 or 7100 but with a 5 year warranty

What if I don't need the pre-outs and want Dirac? Are my best options for the price this or the Onkyo 7100?

Bought this last time. After DIRAC setup, it did wonders compared to 5 yr old reciever. You need laptop to setup dirac (app in phone may not work) - https://youtu.be/QVrjMFFjQq0?si=Q1Rt-TJ-gbEEiEoX

How does this compare to x3800/x4800?

I'm in the market this year for a new avr to run a 7 speaker, with plans to run 2 or 4 atmos in the future.
Kef r11 L/R
Kef r2c
Fef r3s for sides
Kef 3005se eggs for rears. (Planning to use 2-4 of these speakers for atmos)

I'm waiting for a deal on Denon X3800/x4800, but given that those are more expensive even on sale, are they worth it to wait for me? I can sacrifice to a 9 speaker system vs 11 but I like to keep things for a long time, my current avr is a marantz sr7007.

Main reason I'm even wanting to upgrade is to get the better room correction and to run all my devices through the avr versus currently running to my lg Oled and using eARC to pass audio back to my avr, using a splitter to extract hd audio.

I guess my question is given that I'm getting hd audio now, but room correction is only Audyssey MultEQ XT, will I notice a difference between audyssey multeq xt vs x32/one/Dirac to warrant a $500-$1000 cost?

The Pioneer LX305 got down to $321 OB but that was a while ago.
Only difference are global crossovers, not sure that's such a big a deal since people often say just set them to 80hz and let your sub pick up the slack.

This is probably the next best thing.

Well the plus is you got a much newer, more future proof AVR that has gotten pretty decent reviews so far.

Short answer is yes, in my opinion

I went from the Marantz flagship pre pro ,at the time, to a Dirac equipped unit and to my ears it was a definite plus/difference over Audyssey XT32

However , based on what you have( and in the future) I would suggest a separate amp with the unit in this thread
That being said ..You might give the Onkyo RZ70 a look
I would not think you would need a separate amp with that unit

I own both the Onkyo RZ50( said to be very similar to the unit in this thread) and the Pioneer LX805...which is said to be a clone of the RZ70.
Substantial difference in the two, in my opinion and ownership
