Yes any "maintainer" charger is slow so you can leave it plugged in.

BTW the NOCO Desulfate mode is great for bringing some old batteries back to life. My car battery was dying at 4 years old and getting weak but I ran desulfating mode and it's still going 2 years later 😀

It is a good deal however keep in mind it's 2A per bank only so it's going to take over 50 hours to recharge a completely dead 100AH battery. And also likely more than just overnight for one at 50%. I'm just thinking of worse case scenario here for my use as a 2 bank trolling motor charger and it would be rare to run a lithium that low in a day.

some complaints of customers receiving defective products out the gate...and support for such situations isn't ideal, basically you are doing more work than the manufacturer

Reviews seem to be good as a battery maintainer at 2A.

is this good for a car to leave plugged in? i wfh and in the winter have a second car that's used very sparingly. As a result the car tends to die after not being driven for a month or so.

I have at least 6 of NOCO brand chargers and they have been going nonstop for the last few years without issues. I'm sure there are bad ones every now and then, but overall NOCO are very good chargers.

Good price, actually cheaper than the single Genius 2 currently. Picked one up for the garage (2 motorcycles) and will move those single units into the house for winter battery storage.

FYI if you have SAE pigtails on your vehicles NOCO uses a proprietary connector called X-Connect. The adapter from X-connect to SAE is on sale right now on NOCO's website for $15.95 + tax: https://no.co/gc009 shipping was free for me (Ohio).

I got one from Costco for this exact same scenario. There's always reports of electronics dying so the warranty/return policy and it being the same price and capability was a no brainer. Highly recommend you check it out.

I have the cheaper 1A just for this purpose. I've been using it for years. It's slow but I just leave it plugged in and charges to 100%.

I remember seeing one in Costco last year for $31, not anymore. Do you have the item number or product link?

It will work fine. I personally prefer the Hulkman branded ones with the digital display that shows your battery volts before, during and after charging. I have left a car on one for over a year and it cranked right up at first start.
