About this album:
  • If Muse sounded like a new band on Black Holes And Revelations it's because, after Glastonbury, they were: expanded of mind, settled of spirit and anything but sedentary of sound. Lyrical themes abound from apocalyptic soundbites to conspiracy theories to the idea that identity cards are the first sign of the onset of the end of the world.
  • Black Holes and Revelations, marked the band's brightest, most dynamic set of material to date, topping the U.K. and European album charts within its first week and earning Muse their second consecutive number one album. In America, Black Holes and Revelations broke into the Top Ten.
Track Listing:
  • Side: 1
    1. Take a Bow
    2. Starlight
    3. Supermassive Black Hole
    4. Map of the Problematique
    5. Soldier's Poem
    6. Invincible
  • Side: 2
    1. Assassin
    2. Exo-Politics
    3. City of Delusion
    4. Hoodoo
    5. Knights of Cydonia

I would avoid this pressing/release. I have this and the clipping is absolutely horrible. I don't know if they tried to use the CD mix for the vinyl or what, but it is audibly crackling all throughout, especially at the end of "Invincible". This album was peak "loudness wars" as far as mixing goes and it seems like they didn't even bother trying to make a mix within the dynamic range of vinyl.

Huh, interesting. I am pretty sure I have this pressing and haven't noticed any audio issues, aside from the bottom end being a little flat.

Here's a recording I did from my turntable through my DI. Sounds the same direct to headphones via line out. Put headphones on and you'll hear it - https://jumpshare.com/v/lPWGPZrBK...vgHoeMkEwi
