If you want to use this with a computer, then most likely, no. Even the River 2 Plus designed with UPS functionality, doesn't have a useable software app that works with windows or Mac OS. And, a Synology NAS does not recognize it either. YMMV. I am really disappointed the River 2 Plus still does not have software to use on a windows machine. Best to go with an APC or CyberPower UPS that include the software.

That is disappointing. It looks there's maybe a functional Home Assistant API that may work with tinkering but seems silly Ecoflow wouldn't put a bit of work in with that to provide UPS software. Otherwise, maybe putting a cheap or free degraded battery UPS in-between wired to the 12V output...eeesh.

It's not a UPS, so they don't put in the effort to make the special software

The fact that people confuse battery backup with a UPS means that they use that to sell more units

I have one and while it worked when the power went out (PC never turned off) the switch over is SLOW so I bought a dedicated UPS for my PC. This thing goes camping with me or is used when the lights go out (snow storms) or if I have to get on the PC when the power is out. Other than that, no complaints. App has some functions to it that I like, it's connected to WiFi. It's a bit noisy when the fans kick in to cool it off.

So just to confirm, the max watts of a single outlet is 800 not 1500? I would love something like this as a backup for my frig but 800 isn't enough watts.

I thought from prior deals on this same unit people said it could handle the 1500W compressor startup? I think the bigger deal for me is even if it can, I'd still only get like 7 hours with a 100W fridge and I have a garage fridge I'd need to power as well. You could add a 3500wh battery to this though and now you are talking over 35 hours. In a major outage like we had this year where we were without power for 4 days, that's still not nearly enough to keep from losing all your food.

You can use Ecoflow River 3 Plus as an UPS with its 10ms response time. I had several outages and River 3 Plus performed beautifully as UPS. River 3 Plus also has much larger battery than traditional UPS and long battery life.

I just insert a small UPS at the output to smooth the switchover.

The River 3 Plus works well enough as a UPS with my non-scientific testing. You COULD get that but as of now, Refurb River 2 Max + small UPS still offers much more capacity for the money.

I have the River 2 Pro and when I tested it it was able to run my Samsung fridge. That doesn't mean it will run your fridge though and it also doesn't mean it won't damage the inverter doing it regularly. If a fridge is what you're looking to run I'd suggest the Delta 2 or the Delta 2 Max.

went w/ the 110w solar 768 PS combo for $304 before tax. Looking forward to it. Does anyone know if since this is from Eco flow store on Ebay that we might get that sweet 5 year warranty still vs just the 2 from Allstate?
