For one the animation is incredible. 2 the story is great. 3 it goes much darker and violent compared to the series. And 4 it's awesome. 5 if you go back in time and compare this to other animated films of its era, there was nothing like this. Hell I don't even think you need to back in time animated movies still aren't like this aside from anime films. Here's a list of animated films that came out in 1993. Look at was coming out in the USA with the exception of nightmare before Christmas, will perhaps put it in to context. Also this film still rips til this day. My son loves it.
