I have. Good lord the PC version was chalked full of bugs. So many that I put it down for a bit.
There was a huge update, over 10GB from my memory, so hopefully that fixed numerous things. I have not had a chance to get back into it other than a 30 minute session since the update.

Just so you know for future, the phrase you are thinking of is "chock full of ...[whatever]"
But yes. It's a great game but still buggy AF, unfortunately
That being said, they've had numerous updates since its initial release which have fixed a ton of bugs and balance problems including the aforementioned ones. I still go back and play the game every few weeks because there's so many areas left to explore. Pro tip: make sure to save the game right before the final mission of no return. That way you can explore the zone with all end game gear and weapons. Otherwise, beating the game doesn't allow you to return.
The things I've enjoyed so far are: the look and feel of the weapons, the physiological toll that you take of not knowing(but expecting) what is lurking in all of the deep and dark places of the zone. Having a good quality sound system enhances the immersion of this game to the next level. Lastly, said immersion is further enhanced if you leave the native Ukrainian narration on and use subtitles vs the English dub. This actually makes for a much more interesting and enjoyable plot.
The die hards of this game primarily have issues with the A-life implementation being lackluster in comparison to the original games. On the flip side, the developer is listening and they are constantly making changes to it. I believe that over time it will be become better than the original A-life.
