For those of you who are interested in Samsung OLED tvs, my S90c suddenly died on me exactly 15 months after buying it on black friday 2023. The Samsung care+ warranty saved me from losing out on $2k but customer support is a headache to deal with since they all say the same scripting and just xfer you all over the place. TV tech that came to look at the tv told me that Samsung OLEDS break down the most. I'll probably be sticking with LG or Sony from now on.

If I didnt have the warranty, I'd be SOL since the tech said they dont make the panels anymore so there's no way to fix the tv.

This or the Walmart refurb on the Bravia 8? Basically same price. I'm guessing Allstate warranty is better than the CPS warranty with Walmart.
Doesn't say if this Samsung is a WOLED or QD-OLED

Gives you more " intense" color saturation

Better is subjective...I like it better than the LG C( and lower) series...but less than the LG G series due to it being able to get brighter

This, no question. QD-OLED > WOLED. And I've owned OLEDs since the LG C9. Now have 2 S90C & 1 AW2725Q 4K 27in QD-OLED monitor. Nothing currently compares to colors & contrast. G5 looks promising, but $$$$$$$.

This is really tempting... I was already looking at a new 55 s90d for 1k but a 65 inch is gigantic

Make sure you test you eArc port with Samsung TVs. The S90 series, have had earc issues - failure to produce sound on soundbars. They connect but often it's one way communication, which defeats the purpose of earc. Samsung Tech Support is very little help and makes it difficult to schedule repairs. There's a lot of complaints on the web - search "Samsung oled earc issues".

Better color, yes. However, if any light hits the screen, it makes the black levels look grey. QD-OLED also has a noticeable purple tint unless the room is completely dark. My main TV is in a room with a lot of natural light, so QD-OLED is an absolute no for me. Skin can also look kind of pink when it shouldn't. QD-OLED is still generally considered the best display (especially in a dark room), but I'm good with my regular OLED.

It gives more contrast, there's a wider color gamut due to the design - something you always want. Go ahead and google it rather than listen to people here. https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/qd-oled-vs-woled
Calling it saturation is extremely misleading.

I love my 65-inch 90c from Christmas. The picture looks amazing, and the qd-oled is vivid. For what it's worth, a new 90c got down to $1000 at Best Buy in November leading up to BF, so I pulled the trigger.

Since BB is the only warranty with burn in coverage, I wanted to get it from them. Based on my stalking oleds the last three or four years, the weeks leading up to Black Friday when they are clearing out last years models is the time to buy. They typically clear most of them out before it actually gets to Black Friday, so it's best to check 1st or 2nd week of November. Hope that helps.

Did you get the max warranty. So total around $1500? I take it no issues so far
