Beware and heads up! Eufy just added numerous ads to their security app. You can't avoid them. When you try to see your cameras, it sends you to the Eufy store instead. Unbelievable and annoying. Many users are very upset and complaining now. It's a breach of trust that they pull things like this. Sorry to detract from the deal, but it changes everything.

This isn't true. There are ads in the app, but they appear at the bottom. You don't have to click them. Clicking a camera feed does not go to the eufy store.

It actually is true. You eventually will experience it.
Frustrating to say the least. Even took me a while to get it to go away to see my camera.

Just launched Eufy app, my list of cameras showed, then white screen. Got sent to the Eufy store, totally not cool

Hundreds of users have complained about popup ads, splash screens, banner ads and small ads attached to the live view. Eufy (Anker) admitted it and apologized. They began partially turning off the ads case by case. When more people complained, they said they discontinued the ads. However, many users say they are still getting ads.

Guess I'm the lucky one. I've had the Eufy app for years and go into it just about every day. I've never had a camera feed take me to the Eufy store.

You assumed everyone has the same experience as you. Meanwhile, the Eufy app literally asks people to contribute recordings and events using a point system for discounts and prizes. Ask yourself why they do that. AI, facial recognition, home address, email, geolocation, IP address, network and activities in your home... think about it.

Yeah, my bad for thinking the Eufy app I'm using is the same one everyone else is using.

Same app, but different features based on region and activity. The surprising thing was learning they can turn-on or turn-off different types of ads to individual accounts. Similar to Amazon Alexa listening to and learning user behavior.
