Perception is very good quality and I currently have their 13' sit on which is the Triumph 13. I had their Quest 15' years ago and didn't like the handling so I went with the Ocean Kayak Prowler 15'. There are pros/cons on these pedal drive kayak so rent one for a day or demo one as they handle much differently compared to a traditional paddle kayak. Weight: these weigh around twice as much so forget car carrying on a roof rack. Doable for some, but they are heavy. THe seating sits you up high and it's a comfortable view, but you are now top heaving and much easier to tip over. When you tip over, it's a bit*h to get it turned over with the heavy drive system. I'm a long time kayaker and I can assure you that it's difficult to get it righted while treading water. Yes, there is good speed, but you need to carry a paddle on board to help turn, push away from rocks, logs, etc. These are not meant for any moderately fast rivers where stability and turning will be needed. Shallow water: pain in the rear as they canoot get into the shallows or into the reeds due to the drive system/prop/fins hanging down. Yes you can lift the drive, but it takes balance and why you need a paddle on board. Many of my fishing friends jumped on these a few years ago and some have sold them off and went back to a traditional kayak. The positives are few while the negatives are many. Always rent one before spending the $. Lots of these kayaks for sale and tells me people are not happy with them. This price is good, but there are lots of others at this price too: waterwaysusa.com/products/flash, waterwaysusa.com/products/angler-pedal and their stores have further discounts too. FeelFree makes good quality plastic and they perform well. Check sales too on the Old Town kayaks and certainly the Wilderness Systems Tarpon line. Avoid Brooklyn kayaks that are made in China with little to no support.

I saw this deal and almost posted it and bought one myself, incredible deal for a pedal yak. I spend $$ on upgrading fish finders on my boat instead.
