CZYTM,

OP Thanks for sharing a hard drive deal! Smilie

$16.56/TB is still too high for me especially below 18TB.

Am I stupid to think that it will go down to $13-$14/TB especially with the tariffs and trade wars with Canada, Mexico, China and Europe?

My NAS sadly is collecting dust and unused getting obsolete while I continue to wait hoping for a better deal. Frown

Let me know when a 16 TB TLC SSD drops under $300. Can't be QLC because it is going to have worse performance and longevity than this hard drive if used in a 24/7 constant read and write environment like for security cameras. With this drive, you're paying extra for the robustness.

Have this disk in my Plex server, it's great. Read/ write can sustain 250 MB/s indefinitely and it's not very loud.

Yeah, let's all buy overpriced NAND and lose portions of our data every chance we get due to poor redundancy.

That will really help with the whole "dead internet" theory.

This is the lowest price per TB in almost a year. During Black Friday last year the best I could find was 14Tb for $250 . This deal is better if you want OEM.

Seagate.com also has 18TB for $299.99. A 10% welcome coupon does stack and will bring it down to $269.99.

He is saying the opposite. He hopes prices go down, despite the tariffs. no way in hell, but hope spring is eternal

I had to go to a second page after the homepage and scroll down the second page to get the modal to appear asking to sign up for emails. Note, I have never been to the site before so ymmv if you have or are already signed up. Also you can try incognito browser window.
