As soon as I went to the website, I got a pop up from LG for 10% off unique promo code. I went a few times throughout the day and a promo for 8% can pop up as well. I don't know what triggers the 10% off coupon. I even seen a 5% promo code pop up. so YMMV. but I think it's a high likelihood of getting the 10% code to pop up.
The original price is $1300. Then the base sale subtracts $500 off the price, bringing it to $800 before taxes. Then 10% off bringing it down to $720.

QA note: listed price is $799.99 but you can get it as low as $719.99 if you get a popup coupon offer for 10% off, YMMV

That's a good price and that sale wasn't going on yesterday. The difference seems to be that the LG model is 240hz refresh rate and OLED. It has a matte screen which makes the fine details on screen not as crystal clear. And I could be wrong on this, but the samsung model at costco is qd-oled which means it's able to get brighter, but it also has a lower refresh rate at 175hz. Also, it may be that the samsung model had a glass finish which makes it less blurry, more clear, but harder to view outside of dark rooms.
I went with the LG because I actually don't like bright screens. I always keep my monitor dimmer than most. Also, I wanted the matte screen so I can still view it in bright rooms because there are a lot of windows where it's going. Also, my final price for the LG model before tax and after all discounts and cashback was $602. That makes this post a better deal for me.
but then again, nothing. beats the warranty of buying from Costco.
