Bummer - perhaps I read wrong inc many reviewers saying not to mix in ingredients but rather use plain batter - if that is the case that is unfortunate would have pulled the trigger … unless someone else with practical experience can kindly chime in.

Edit: some users specify a specialty setting for texture and some saying they have used mix-ins such as apples, chocolate chips, nuts

This will fit nicely on my countertop next to my Ninja ice cream maker, coffee maker, soda maker, toast maker and air fryer.

Own one, didn't go well with berries and never tried since. I would assume is better with dry add ons. These are non stick so anything other than the batter would result in not so easy time with cleaning especially with chocolate chips.....

Mix in ingredients are a no go with vertical waffle makers. I have one and small chocolate chips can ruin a waffle. They can block the flow or end up with an odd distribution. I had to accept them as toppings.
