good deal - I'm not buying $80-$90 games though.
What AAA games are $90-100?!
I shall. No buyers remorse here.

Highly recommend a screen protector, my oled switch has a small scratch which could have been prevented. Also, games haven't really been priced along with inflation so unfortunately this was bound to happen. My dad bought me games in the late 80s for the Sega Master System at 50 bucks which was 128 bucks in today's money. I'm surprised the games stayed at around 50 new for decades, I'll be getting digital which is 10 cheaper or waiting for sale prices or used, I have a back catalog anyways. I feel the switch 2 specs are in line with what I'm looking for in a mobile system so def a pre order for me.

It is really ridiculous that Nintendo will most likely get away with it. They did with Tears of the Kingdom

Matte or Glossy??
I went for the matte. glossy is great and all but sucks when you're out and about. matte dulls the visuals a tiny bit.. but takes away almost all the glare, which is a huge plus for me

lol you will be one way or another eventually, software prices have been stagnant for decades. They'd be a bargain if they were even $100, for any of the consoles.

Mario Kart World is $79.99, but you can get it in a bundle with the Switch 2 for $50 more than the console alone.
Donkey Kong Bananza will be $69.99.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is $59.99 (upgrade to Switch 2 version is included with NSO Expansion Pack)

You can always wait for a sale, but good luck with that for 1st party games. They come eventually.

Most AAA games these days are in the $90-110 range if you want to buy at launch and want the full game (including the DLC packs that are part of the main story). It's been like this for a while now. Then they add all of the microtransactions for cosmetics, etc. Do you want the Deluxe edition with a couple of cosmetics for $10? Do you want early access, where you beta test our buggy game before all of the normies get it?

Nintendo has always been good about delivering the full game when you pay the full price.

Yea say that to the recent Mario Golf

Assassin's Creed Shadows Gold Edition is currently $109.99.

That's a bunch of BS. It's $70. You can't just make stuff up to fit your narrative. I paid about $120 for the special edition of Tears of the Kingdom. That doesn't make it a $120 game. I know people that have sunk hundreds of dollars in to Candy Crush does that mean the game costs hundreds of dollars? No! Get out of here with your claim that games today already cost $90-110 and have for years.

Wait for Nintendo's regular rounds of ports for $80. Fanboys will gobble it up.

They're just glass so glossy. I personally am a huge fan of the amFilm protectors and try to use them wherever possible. Real tempered glass and a liquid UV-Cured adhesive to ensure no bubbles. Absolutely love them.P.S. Let's not turn this into a thread about the Switch 2, it's way off topic and is irrelevant to the value of this deal specifically.
the Switch 2 is "way off topic" on an item for the Switch 2? Stick Out Tongue

jokes aside, what's the difference between the "OneTouch" protector and the regular glass ones?

I think it just comes with the plastic doohicky to align the protector on so it's easier to install. I've found the Switch protector pretty easy to install so I'm opting for the one without it. But it is nice there is the option.

For a game like GTA VI, sure it would probably be worth every penny. The problem is if Madden 26 is also 100 dollars which absolutely would not be worth it when you can get one of the previous years at a bargain price. Not all games are created equal.

That guy is either a troll or a Nintendo bootlicker

I'm big into Nintendo but what they doing is wild.

Thankfully, I have no interest in getting the Nintendo switch 2 since it's not an oled screen. Maybe then they release the Oled version, things will cool down... Or the video game crash of 2025 will happen
