I'm on year two of this exact model and literally owned a nexgrill that I got on clearance for $99 7 years ago. This is a far superior product in all facets. It offers more even cooking, better heat control no more grease fires and it is quite literally better designed for cleaning. My only regret is sticking with the cheap grill for so long. I easily ruined more $$ worth of meats in those 5 years.
Thank you for explaining. But smaller than what?

Yes.

My Genesis is 15 or so years old and the debris tray has separated from the foundation along with the very bottom of the grill compartment starting to look a bit rough. Was hoping to see a good sale to grab a new one finally.

BEWARE! That enclosed cabinet will rust out after a few years in high humidity locals unless you take extreme care cleaning and drying it out regularly. Better to just take door off, which helps but doesn't eliminate rust. Known issue that few post about. My spirit has the bottom just about rusted out and had to add support brackets to keep together.

OTOH this is a great price but I'll search for an older open frame model that actually has a larger cooking surface.

Maybe they are making them cheaper now. I have a 15 year old Weber Spirit on my open deck in pretty high humidity and haven't got one speck of rust on or in the cabinet. Also USAF-Retired :-)

Only had one in stock.

Mine is about that old in south Louisiana, where anything not covered gets drenched with moisture during summer nights. Even vehicles get rinsed off. I didn't notice till several years after I bought new, by then it started spreading. I even took off the dual stainless steel doors for ventilation. Someone commented me here not long ago that his fairly new one had started rusting after he read my post. Guess is luck of the draw and how thoroughly the clean and dry it.

As side note I prefer our old style with the 3 burners running across instead of up and down with burner knobs on side. Seems to me the indirect cooking would work better like ours. I'll put a slab of ribs in back rack and leave just front burner on low, after couple hours at 225 deg they come out perfect. Not sure if it's better or worse with burners up and down, looks like it wouldn't cook indirect heat as good and grill area not as big on side.

I saw that model in my costco last year, all stainless steel outside. Almost bought it for $599 but passed.

I know I don't think that will fit in the car lol. That's the 2022 model and then discontinued but still great and you have the propane gauges

I snagged a costco e-315 spirit (genesis OOS) is this the same or better or worse? the picture looks different, I paid $400 + 56 for assembly, this is a bit more, but it looks like it has a physical temp gauge without the fancy tech? Any advice on the better purchase would be appreciated. I bought the NG version.

Yea! I had to throw out my spirit (same one) because it rusted and caved in… but the grill still worked
