For comparison, a Type II (225 pounds max load) aluminum ladder in the same height range (5 feet marketing label) could be a 12 pound ladder. I also see Type I aluminum ladders with the 6 foot marketing lable under 15 pounds.
A fiberglass ladder has some good important qualities (namely not being a conductor), but being lightweight is not one of them.
