This needs to be lower in the 600ish range.
This is a great deal for anyone who doesn't qualify for Samsung EPP deals. It matches the current Samsung EPP deal for $880.
They both have 4K passthrough, but 120Hz requires HDMI 2.1.

I don't recall the older generations (990B and 990C) going that low outside of EPP deals.

Q990c was like 600ish maybe few months ago but you could say that deal you'd have to wait prob a year after the D came out so since F is already out I guess after summer time for this to drop lol dunno

Kind of expensive to go from $680 Q990C to $880 (Woot) just to get HDMI 2.1, no? Rtings already tested it, the sound is very minimally changed. They brought up some low mid range nulls but that's it.

Companies sure have a funny way of reinstating MSRP

Isn't 4K passthrough part of that change? For some, that could be a meaningful feature.

I had the 990C and thought the sound was great, but because of the lack of passthrough I decided to return it. That said, $880 is a very spicy meatball, though with all of these tariffs I would not expect to see a better discount soon.

4k 120hz bluray someday, maybe 8k and earc that supports dolby truehd/lossless stuff.
If this soundbar doesn't fail you could probably use it for 10 years without having any real need to upgrade. Sounds as similar to a pair of bookshelf's as Iv heard in soundbar and those haven't changed much.

I don't know what this means, but the HW-QS730D also available through Woot doesn't show this disclaimer:
Warranty: 1 Year Samsung Manufacturer Limited Warranty (ZA units) or 1 Year Identical Vendor Limited Warranty (ZP Units*)

Please call 1-800-249-4958 for Questions, Technical Support, and Warranty Claims for ZP Units

*ZP units are exactly the same as ZA units and are covered by the exact same 1 Year warranty as ZA units. Any problems will get serviced by the exact same network of 2,200 authorized Samsung service centers.

Units intended for the US market are designated by ZA (in the model name). In a previous Woot deal, some customers recieved non-US designated units (ex: ZC or ZP) and some customers claimed, after contacting Samsung, that these units were not covered by Samsung warranty! Woot staff, at the time, confirmed that any unit sold through them will carry the same 1 year warranty by Samsung.
I expect they added this disclaimer to put the whole model designation issue to rest!!

Edit: the disclaimer states that ZP units will have "Vendor warranty" versus "Manufacture warranty" for the ZA units, although these warranties are supposedly identical! It implies that Woot has worked out some sort of an agreement with Samsung to service these units.

It failed me and others lol they released an update maybe 3 weeks ago that bricked units with auto update on. 1 week and it's still being repaired by them. Great soundbar other than that. Tv sounds so low without it now

I have the 990c , im listening to it as I write, excellent for me, i push this thing hard for music, movies barely needs to go above 17, watch the rock with conery, sounds amazing imo, along with others, I don't know how this could get better for me. Thanks for stopping
