Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank AnsonL6358

I've been using this for a few months and these are my observstions.

1. It leaves about half a gallon that you can't pump out at the end.

2. The measurements on the tank are not very accurate. The 1 gallon mark is considerably off but it gets closer and closer to the correct mark as you fill up to 4 gallons.

3. Because the top of the tank is flat, it takes more effort to completely dump liquid out.

4. The cap has to be aligned just right so that it doesn't crossthread.

5. The wand is all plastic and not that great. Mine leaked a bit between the lever and the wand.

6. The hose is too stiff for it's own good causing it to come off the molded holder on the side of the tank incredibly easy.

7. The pressure dial could be better if it had actual settings instead of being like a potentiometer.

The good thing is that it accepts teejet nozzles and the wand is replaceable for a better one. For $190, the Flowzone Cyclone is only $10 more and is superior to this in every way.

I also got mine on sale from direct tools, and my experience is the opposite. The battery power is absolutely worth it over having to pump.

That said, I think most people would probably be better off with the 18v one that I have. An 18v 2ah battery runs for a long time, so 40v batteries just add extra weight. And many people have other 18v Ryobi tools

I had multiple issues with mine, had a replacement and had the same issue. ryobi sent me a 3rd brand new unit, I sold it for more than I paid. unless you got a farm, a few pumps, can do entire yard for most part lol.

but yeah I like the idea, worked great, for first 2-3 uses, then motor burned out, etc, multiple times. repair guy said there was a kink in hose in the unit, fixed it, happened again. just blah. annoying.

Which manual sprayer are you using? I have this one from Harbor Freight, and it has to be pumped almost constantly. Wears me out when spraying the whole perimeter of my house with Talstar.

Bought this a while back and returned it for the 2 gallons version which came with 2 containers (more versatile, much lighter, and metal wand). This one is about >15lb without solutions.

agree, ive had the smaller ones, upgraded to larger one, and the larger one was a let down, other than my breakdowns, its just too damn big. a farm or a business, can totally get behind this. but after having it, its a pain, large, and takes too much space. not to mention, mine broke several times. I was happy as hell to get another new one from ryobi new in box, I sold that thing day 1 at a profit.

never again

So I have the smaller voltage ⚡ battery one and can say one thing:

Learn how to clean it after each use or else it won't hold the pressure and be a doorstop.
