If this is the case, it would be about $10 cheaper than buying a bare drive (assuming you could shuck it).
As a USB drive, it's much faster than a thumb drive but half as fast as some of the drives that have been posted lately.
At this capacity, it's probably worth it to spend the extra $15 and go with something like the recently posted Lexar (1000MBs read).
If this is the case, it would be about $10 cheaper than buying a bare drive (assuming you could shuck it).
