So you have until then to book future travel under the current terms and use up any gift cards/points/credits etc

Very true. I am assuming they are counting the personal item. You can carry on one carry-on, and one backpack, so two items.

So say I book a WGA fare today for June 20. If I cancel on May 27th my flight credits do not expire. If I cancel on May 29 my flight credits expire in 6 mo
