Not sure if this impacts anyone but the TV will be WOLED also for those who care it doesn't have Dolby Vision. I have the 77 and enjoy it but I did get it for $1300 after stacking tons of discounts and cashback.

Very temping !!
This model is par with the LG G4 which won't be near this price not until the G6 comes out !!
The only reason that I'm not pulling the trigger is that I just know if I buy it...it'll be cheaper a few days past the return date.

I am also looking for a good deal on 83" OLED, but I don't think this specific size is considered closer to G4. Based on the information I read online, I doubt if it will be even equal to C4.

Most people seem fine with WOLED given that almost all LGs are WOLED.
edit: Or are you saying that the reason to buy S90D is because it is QD-OLED, but even S90D isn't QD-OLED in the 83" version? I'm not very up-to-date on TVs.

OK.... then....

Samsung S90D Vs LG C4 [rtings.com]

Samsung S90D Vs LG G4 [rtings.com]
The only thing the G4 has over the S90D is brightness and low quality content smoothing
The Samsung has a wider color gamut so it can display brighter colors and it does not have banding as the G4

Except you are using the test samples for the 65 in. This does not take in account the TV for the 83-in model which does not have quantum dot oled. And as such the woled version is worse considerably and cannot be accurately compared Samsung's motion smoothing is garbage and the quality is really not there. No DTS support and no Dolby vision.

Samsung shouldnt call this an S90 if it's not QD-OLED.

No it is C4 without dolby vision.
The 83 inch is a woled and does not have MLA.

Woled is the more mature & durable tech. The blue dots in QD-OLED fail prematurely. So if you plan on keeping your TV more than 3-5 years, WOLED is the way.

You are missing an incredible deal which won't come back at this price for a long time. Don't hesitate, buy it. I just went ahead and made a purchase before it sells out

You can purchase a LG B4 83 inch via the LG Partner store for $2K delivered with a pretty good sound bar to boot. That is a better deal.

For PS5 Pro console gaming and for Netflix and other video streaming, would the LG B4 be more than sufficient? Or is there reason to jump up to the C4 or the S90D?

Game performance on the 83 inch(and 83 inch only) B4 is the same or better than the C4. The 83 inch S90D is not the same tv as the smaller model S090Ds. It is not QDOLED. Less color volume and definitely lower brightness. As to which one prefers, that's up to the individual.
