I've been using this enclosure for years with good results. Yes, It's limited to 10 Gbps. But it's significantly less expensive than a 20 or 40Gbps enclosure. I lost the tiny screw early so I hold it together with a rubber band.
BTW, it worked with an 8 TB SSD despite being listed as up to 4 TB.
Slickdeals is a great place where people can share deals with each other, but you still do have to read.
Please use the coupon on item listing page, or use the code provided during checkout.
Yeah idk why they chose a special screw such that they'd have to include the specific screwdriver. I just use a piece of tape

I've had this one for a while. Helped with a few PCs upgrading to larger drives. Might be limited at times by USB connections, but has always been faster than cloning hard drives lol

I've run 10 VMs via this cable and SSD chassis for 2 years straight. Formated REFS on Windows Server 2022, and 2025.

I'd buy 5 more if I needed them.

I have one of these, it's not perfect and amazing, the screws and stand are a bit fiddly, but it does exactly what it says it does and I don't have any complaints. Reaches full 10Gbs, for the price I'll probably snag another one.

Same. I didn't lose mine but I still use a tape for easy drive swaps.

It looks like this is not the rtl9210 controller, that a lot of people prefer. Just a FYI

8 TB ones were not around years ago, so I can see how it wouldn't be listed.
