IMO, it's kinda both. I have had this for several years now, maybe close to 5, keeping it in 1 of my vehicles, so I don't use it much. Goodness, it's bright, but it's really unwieldy for most practical purposes. I paid just over $40., I believe, so this is a real deal if you are bound & determined, however, I'd think long & hard if I had to do it all over again & probably would not buy. Repped, OP.

This is the cheapest I've seen this light. I own it and love it. But TBH, not many use cases for me with this light. I've contemplated buying the Q8 plus which is an upgrade from this but i can't justify the purchase considering i hardly use the SP36

I paid $40.88 in December. 10/10, can't beat the value.

It also doubles as a handwarmer when you have it cranked up.

As long as you aren't wearing skinny/fitted jeans, it'll fit in your pockets (but not comfortably).

If you're a flashlight addict you'll buy this, then spend all day thinking about how much "better" the Q8 Plus would be. I bought a SC33 thinking it was enough, even tho I hardly use it I still want a Q8 Plus.

We have one. It lives in our basement and tornado safety area. Agree with others that it has limited use case otherwise due to size and overall better options for specific use cases and general use.

Love my IF30 from a recent deal ($63 on Amazon). Trying to invent a need for this, since I already have a dozen Olights purchased years ago.

Not sure what area you're from, safe in car (heat)?

Edit: After reading up on the tarrif bullshit, it looks like these will likely be held at customs till you pay $75 or 90% of the items value. So I canceled my order.

the c8l is also on sale for 32.99. pretty great price. just grabbed one.

ive been on and off the fence on buying myself an additional thrower for my cabin property. with the tarrifs, its likely we will no longer see these type of prices for a while. or we will... or who knows... all i know is id rather get it now.

Aren't these going to get stuck in customs for tariff assessment?

C8L is one of those lights that are just about perfect. Super bright, good throw and flood, comfortable to hold, big battery, doesn't heat up, tail push button, one of my favorites in the collection.

Definitely pick one up at this price if you guys like to see.
