Does anyone know if this can be made to show non minecraft things ? Also can this do custom animations ? Like can i upload my own animations to it ?

Supposedly you can use the app to draw/upload your own graphics to the unit, obviously within the 16x16 matrix limitation. Looks like there's some kind of animation functionality as well!

Just dug into this because the same question. From the Target page itself in Q&A it says they do, just comes with Minecraft ones by default. I also came across this, https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassi...odding_an/ which looks like if you are techy you can setup a Linux or Windows machine to interact with it.I wasn't even thinking about it, but using it with HomeAssistant would be cool.

Yes. But it's very low resolution so do keep that in mind. On android it uses iDotMatrix app https://play.google.com/store/app...x&hl=en_US

I could never get it working with HomeAssistant. Please let me know if you find a way.
