If it's really locked in for 5 years though, that's decent deal especially if they let you get free phone with bill credits.
Reading it, the phone line is only free for the first year afterwards it's probably $40/$45 extra per month.

looks like it 55 a month for the cable and they throw in the mobile free for one year

Yes, sorry, I haphazardly typed it.
The phone line is free for a year.
Anyone have advice on how to get this deal for existing customers? I have a $160 cable and Internet plan and want to cancel cable and go to Internet only and get this deal
A very reasonable price. Are you getting unlimited data though or is it extra cost after 1.2 TB?
It's really tough to pay less than that, their low income plans are $15 and $30. Though they give you the gateway + unlimited data usage in that price. The speeds are much worse.
5YR 1.1Gbps modem unlimited data for $65 isn't bad.

Good luck. Corporate likes to punish loyal customers.
Do it. You only really need 300mbps for video and downloads. Unless you're torrenting.
If you think xfinity is bad, you've never had Optimum. Xfinity is ok, when it works. If your monthly is too much money, call and ask to talk to the retention dept and explain you are switching, they are great at negotiating a deal to keep you.

Usually you just need to call them to cancel when the price goes up. They always give you the new subscriber offers. I typically do it no other real option, but you have one. Just call them. It's unfortunate you have to do this, but it works.
