you are forgetting ram, ssd, and the os.
You are probably breaking even if you build it yourself.and you need to have microcenter nearby

I personally like having a warranty in one place and not spending time building a pc.

I just purchased one from them (through Newegg) and I'm very happy with it. Arrived very well packed and had foam
on the inside to keep the components safe from moving around during shipping. All the components seem to be well known named brands expect the power supply which was a non modular Gamdias 850w. Mine came with an Asus b650 pcie5 motherboard, ryzen 7700x and a zotac rtx5070 for $1550 so this is a pretty good deal imo.

Further info about it. My motherboard has 2 M2 slots and the case supports 2 SDDs and 1 3.5" Hard drive (or another ssd)

Pretty sure this is the mobo mine came with

They also have a 9700x with rtx5070 for $1799 on Newegg

They're probably the best pre-built company.

Bought same GPU with 9800x3D three weeks ago for $2,000, very happy with it. One issue I had customer support chat via their website was responsive and helpful.

They've been around for some time. They're one of the best brands for pre-built gaming PCs. Maybe the best.

If you have a microcenter close. You can get the 7800x3D combo for $500 and a 9070xt for $800. Is the case, cooler, fans and PSU worth an additional $500? That is the question.

I would want to see a breakdown of what parts were used. Who made each component. To see what the value is on this deal.

It's not a bad deal. I just like knowing what parts I have. I like knowing how many m.2 slots my board will have, if the PSU is modular, picking the brands I trust. If you are starting from nothing, then this is good.

If you pick name brand parts, you will spend more than this. you will break even assuming you bought equivalent cheapest parts. Good luck getting brand name parts for this price

The microcenter 7800x3D combo are all name brand parts. As for the 9070xt, no one makes a reference card, which is what pre builds typically use. You will get whatever they got the cheapest of. So, an entry level Asrock or Powercolor more than likely. The PSU on the pre build will be the mystery. Based on the picture the case looks no name and small, only room for 2 fans on the top. Looks like a micro ATX form factor, less room to expand the storage drives.

Like I said it's a good deal currently. I cheap out on a lot of stuff, hand tools and PC parts is not where I do go cheaper.

I just built a PC with these near-exact specs for a little over $1700 before tax. This is a good deal. My PSU is platinum rated but otherwise the same.

Great for specs & someone who won't build themselves.
