The 10pc comes with 2 less hole saw sizes. Depends on the sizing you need, but the 10 piece has an extra shank instead of a hole saw.

I have this kit. It's alright what it is. I've been using it for woodworking which is not its intended use. It will cause tear outs through the back end unless you use a sacrificial board.

Great if you're using it to make wheels for toys which is what I've also done.

If you're trying to make very clean holes look into Forstner bits.

If the wood is thick enough, try stopping halfway through one end, flip the wood over, align the pilot hole and finish on the other end.
