But what am I supposed to do with my 360? Just kidding, I'm saving it for when my kids are old enough to play rockband 2!

Worked for me, thanks! Looks like $95 for Xbox One S. I purchased a 2TB Galaxy XSX in Dec for Christmas.

The 1TB systems are more like 800GB. They really shot themselves in the foot with the proprietary expansion drives.

I have a series S & X and they get a decent amount of use. I have to delete most games on the S after completing because the 500GB is really 360GB.

My PS5 1TB is really 680GB so having an external 1TB for my PS4 games helps lots. Have not invested in a NVMe yet but the need is growing.

Something about "Everything will be an Xbox" in the coming future seems cool however I will wait and see if it works well enough to ditch the console

no discount up front? You're basically getting money back after the fact?

Any decent deals on a Series X right now? I wouldn't mind getting rid of my One X, but can't justify an S when I have a decent TV in my office.

Idk. I mean it fine and all bth. My thoughts to share:

Xbox One X for example imo is worth keeping as far as ownership goes due to disc drive being obsolete, One X Enhanced feature, and cuz not much Series X game exclusive out there. Somewhat better than Series S alone, depends on who is being asked.

Also repairability, and hard drive upgrade replacement option are practically and economically better than Series X.

Oh and the One X came in different variation of theme….cyberpunk 2077, GOW, robot white, hyperspace, gold rush and such. the Series X only had Halo and SpongeBob.

I would upgrade if the 2 TB Series X is available in which sadly has been discontinued since Dec 2024 as far as I'm aware of. Series X can be had for $400 or less without a trade in. Got mine for $300 used via private sale.

All in all, pros and cons here. Good luck

Wonder if this would work if you purchased one of their refurbished Xbox consoles. Would you still get the boosted trade-in value?

Xbox One X is a sleeper for those on a budget. Don't be so quick to dump them, Xbox One games are cheap as can be, you can amass a great collection on the cheap.
