As someone who's never owned a Switch and just wants to play Pokemon, should I buy this over a Switch Lite?
The next pokemon game (legends Z-A) is rumored to be switch 1 compatible, so you will have a nice selection of pokemon games to choose from (BDSP, SwSh, LegArc, LGP/E, Scar/Viol) and Legends Z-A. BUT if you are trying to future proof yourself for gen 10 then grab the switch 2. Also, Scarlet/Violet have visual enhancements and performance improvements when using the switch 2. With that said, you could start with the older pokemon games on the switch lite, then upgrade to the switch 2 in the future. Digital and physical purchases for switch lite will transfer to the switch 2. Hope this helps!
