Great deal for a lot of good movies. Sad it is just HDX considering how many have 4k available though.

Just an FYI
  • Although Children of the Damned [fandango.com] (1964) is part of this bundle/Warner Bros. film, it is not part of the Movies Anywhere library
  • However, you can still watch it anytime on VUDU/Fandango at Home after purchase
  • If/when this film gets added to the Movies Anywhere library, it'll show up automatically & you can watch on any participating digital retailer that has this license

Does anyone have experience buying these multi- film bundles in HDX? Would Fandango upgrade any to 4K that are currently available in that format? I guessing not.

Ah, man. I own all but 9 of these. Still a great deal if you don't own most.

For anyone who buys, there is a good chance many of these upgrade to 4k over the next week. WB films with 4k releases seem to have a higher chance of upgrading.

In my experience, FAH usually does not upgrade the bundled movies. Rarely, they might upgrade some of the mix-or-match deals, but those that are MA compatible will not port to MA as upgrades since you are buying the HD license. Interesting that those ported to other services that do automatic upgrades to the best available resolution (such as Apple iTunes) show and stream as upgrades. So you will only have upgrades in iTunes and some upgrades on Fandango.

You will not get upgrades on iTunes for movies that are ported over. They must be purchased or redeemed on iTunes.

If only they actually played on my hardware, that would be nice. They do not. I've never gotten audio to work from Vudo. Not once. Just screeching. I have a Roku and tried DD and AC3. Even stereo didn't work.Better name is "Movies NOT Anywhere" based on my experience. If we are buying the films, give us an MKV download and be done with it.
The fact you think you are "buying the films" (that you own them) is funny.

Bought. Lots of good movies (many I've not seen believe it or not) and only already had FMJ and The Exorcist.
Regarding FMJ, I never considered it to be any of a thriller, horror or Sci-fi film. I guess a thriller, of the three choices?

Not true. Just purchased and many of the movies came into my iTunes(AppleTV) account as the full 4K version.
CORRECTION: Apple shows them as 4K in my library but only plays them in HD. Apple is the worst for showing you what you actually have. Apologies.

$1 per movie and some may be upped to 4K. This is an insanely good deal. And pretty much all of of these are worth your time.

Sorry to hear that. I have 3 TVs, 2 HiSense direct, and 1 Amazon Fire HD on an old Visio, and they all play fine on those, never an issue in years. It also works great from my phone and tablets, and every browser I've ever used, albeit limited to HD inside PC browsers.

I know it's not helpful, but you may have an outdated device where the Movies Anywhere app is outdated and may never work. You can try factory resetting it, but the closed operating system Roku uses holds you at their mercy for upgrades. It's one of the reasons I prefer Android / Google TV. It's much more flexible. If you really want to keep using the TV, you can buy a cheap Google TV device, or an Amazon Fire stick. I can confirm they all work great with the Movies Anywhere and Fandango at Home apps.

Those movies I purchased on FAH and upgraded by FAH were ported as 4K UHD in my Apple iTunes, but they show and stream as HD in my MA account.

Besides the PayPal offer, (already used, limit of 1) are there any other Fandango at Home gift card deals currently active? There is the direct from FaH 10% offer with HOMEAPR25 with a minimum $50, which I'll probably use if they keep up these 25 for $25 daily deals this week, but I'm hoping for some 15% or 20% offers. I may just have to settle for 10%.
