I've been waiting for this one because it has the larger sensor, better low light performance, better audio, longer battery, new AI chips for faster processing, and it can record both flat and 360 mode at the same time which the X4 couldn't. I don't have an X4 because I was worried about the lens getting scratched and not being replaceable, but the X5 has replaceable lenses now too so I placed the order.

Checked the differences, looks like slightly better battery, a windscreen on the mic, a slightly better sensor

doesnt seem like huge difference... might be worth looking for a deal on the x4 now

I had no idea it was out yet. The one selling point I remember hearing about is the wind noise cancellation is supposedly better. Gonna do some research

I feel like it's not worth upgrading from the x4 but if you are like me and scratched your lens. Then yes I would prefer to upgrade to this. Feels like I can put it in more compromising places

I bought the X4 at Costco a month and a half ago and I'm upgrading to the X5, placed my order today. Been using the X4 while traveling and in the snow and while it's pretty damn great, the low light performance was quite disappointing. The X5 should be a big improvement.

I say no- I have X4… not to concerned with low light because I have my S5ii for that.
